We build the apps our own family asked for.
VaAnAdAn makes software for everyday people — the kind that quietly makes something in your life easier and doesn't charge you like enterprise software to do it.
Our name comes from our family: the first two letters of each of our first names, stacked together. That's not decoration. It's the process. Every product we build starts with someone we know saying “I wish something did this,” and ends when it's good enough that we'd actually hand it to them.
What we believe
AI where it helps, nowhere else.
We don't add AI to a product so we can say we added AI. We use it where it removes real work — recognizing a plant from a photo instead of making you type its Latin name, for instance. Where it doesn't help, we leave it out.
Priced like we're the customer.
Because we usually are. We're not building software that needs a subscription to justify a funding round. Cheap or free where we can manage it, honest about it where we can't.
Built to be handed down.
Most software companies are built to be sold. This one is named after the people I'd want to hand it to.
PlantKeeper
Photograph a plant, and it goes into your collection with everything you need to keep it alive — watering schedule, light and soil needs, care reminders. Indoor, outdoor, or both. It exists because my wife asked for it, which is the only product requirement we take seriously.
